Getting to the Galapagos Islands you either depart Quito. Hopefully you get a window seat to see the beautiful blue waters. My trip started in San Cristobal where we boarded the Cormorant Catamaran.
I took the 3 night, 4 day cruise.
After a bite to eat we were off to our first adventure. Off on the pangas we were, with views of Kicker Rock looking for wildlife. It didn't take long to see blue footed boobies and sea lions.
One of my favorite stops was the first stop on day 2-- a hike on Espanola, Suarez Point. The albatross were starting to get their nests ready. Birds abounded. We saw albatross, marine iguanas, Galapagos Hawks, sally lightfoot crabs, masked boobie.
The afternoon adventure was still on Espanola but to Gardner Bay, Gardner islet. A beautiful white sand beach where sea lions were basking in the sun.
After some time there and a quick bite to eat we were off to an inlet to snorkel. Totally unreal...
